Explore the micro-credential offerings
Without having an account, you can explore our micro-credential offerings freely in the following ways:

Search (A)
Enter specific terms you are looking for in the search bar and hit the “Enter” key, this will display results across micro-credential issuing organizations and stacks.

Issuing Organization Drop Down (B)
You may filter displayed micro-credentials to those developed by a particular issuing organization by clicking this drop-down and selecting the issuer of interest.

Stack Drop Down (C)
You may filter displayed micro-credentials to those included in a particular stack of micro-credentials by clicking this drop-down and selecting the stack of interest.

Results displayed (D)
You may limit or increase the number of displayed micro-credentials by selecting different options in this dropdown menu.
4 ways of exploring the micro-credential platform
You can view the important information of a micro-credential at a glance on the "Explore" page:
- The stack name: Micro-credentials are stackable - earning all micro-credentials under one stack is a great way to showcase your level of profession in that area. For example, this micro-credential "Idea Generating" is under the stack "Deeper learning - creative thinking & innovating".
- The issuing organization: For example, this micro-credential is issued by Digital Promise.
- Associated fee: Some micro-credentials are free, while others have an assessment fee attached to them.
Click anywhere on the card, and it will take you to the specific micro-credential.

Viewing the details of a micro-credential
Each micro-credential details page contains all the information a learner needs to know when preparing a micro-credential submission:

Navigation menu (A)
This menu makes it easier for learners to view the elements of the micro-credential, including an Overview, Details, Research & Resources, Submission & Evaluation, and additional information about the issuing organization.

Apply Button (B)
Each micro-credential details page invites learners to apply, which can be done by selecting the “Apply” button. If the micro-credential includes an assessment fee, it will be prominently displayed. Learners will not be asked to pay any associated assessment or resubmission fees until they click the “Submit” button.

Details (C)
Each micro-credential details page contains the name of the issuing organization, as well as which stack the micro-credential belongs to. Clicking on these elements will direct the learner to the “Explore” page displaying any other micro-credentials associated with that issuer or stack.

Key Method
- This section identifies what the skill is, and the specific research-backed method that the learner will use to demonstrate the competency.

Method Components
- The Method Components section expands and elaborates on the components of the Key Method, including a description of the Key Method and/or actionable steps or strategies for demonstrating the competency. This is the basis for the artifact submission that is later assessed according to the evaluation criteria.
- For example, if the Key Method was project-based learning, the Method Components would
detail each component of project-based learning. This section may also contain important
background information and define key terms.

Assessment Detail
- This section outlines the parts of the submission that a learner must pass to earn the micro-credential.
Research & Resources

Supporting Rationale and Research
- Research citations substantiate the effectiveness of the Competency, Key Method, and Method Components. Learners can use these as learning materials.

Resources
- This section includes any resources learners may use to develop the competency or skill and apply it to their practice. This may include resources, such as templates, online courses or modules, blogs, videos, planning guides, and/or frameworks.

- Part 1 allows learners to provide context for the evidence they are submitting to earn the micro-credential. Learners from many backgrounds and settings complete micro-credentials, so it’s important that the responses to these questions allow learners to share important information about their specific context.

- Part 2 describes work examples, evidence, or artifacts that learners must submit. Artifacts might be video, audio, photos, text, or any other appropriate medium for demonstrating the
specific competence and the specific requirements vary from different micro-credentials.

- Part 3 asks the learner to reflect on their experience. It may include questions about what they have learned, how the skill has impacted their current practice, what they would improve upon, or how this will impact their future practice.
