Check if there are any specific requirements for this micro-credential
You can see specific requirements for this micro-credential that you are applying for in either the "Competency Info" area or the "Earning the micro-credential" area. Common requirements include:
- Required or recommended order to complete the micro-credentials in the same stack
- Notes on collaboration: Some micro-credentials don't accept collaborative work. For those that do accept collaboration, the general rule is that the submission should be personal and reflective of the learner's lived experience and character. Please:
- In the overview area
- Share how you collaborated on these micro-credentials with colleagues. This way, you both confirmed your work was in collaboration, but honor the work you’ve done.
- Share how exactly you collaborated with your teammates, how the tasks were delegated, etc.
- In the artifact area
- The artifacts can be shared for sure, but you can annotate them differently to show your unique contribution and ideas
- In the reflection area
- Share an individualized reflection; otherwise, the assessor does not know if one did all of the work and simply gave it to the others.
- Notes on using AI: Some micro-credentials don't accept any AI-invovled responses. For those that do, please see the details requirement of each micro-credential. Generally speaking, it's accetable to use AI for early-stage brainstorming or grammar assistance, but please do share details explaining why and how it helped you in your work.

- Remove all personal information about yourself and others (e.g., if you are an educator, you might have personal information about your students in the uploaded artifact).
- Read the rubric carefully. It is helpful to copy the rubric parts into a document and type your answers below.
- Have a colleague or coach look over your submission. It helps to have an extra pair of eyes on your submission materials so you feel confident about submitting.
- If you encounter a broken link while you are browsing or applying for a micro-credential, please submit a ticket to this help system.
File questions
- Use universal document types, i.e., PDF, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Change all settings on all shared documents, websites, and surveys to “anyone with the link.”
- If you have multiple files as part of your submission, clearly name each file, e.g., “Teacher Reflection” or “Part 2 Evidence.”
- Unless prompted for a longer video, the length of video submissions should be around 2-3 minutes.
- Minimize attachments by pasting your images into a document and including all parts in one document.
- What do I do if the artifacts I want to upload are too big? We recommend uploading your artifact to Google Drive, opening up access to anyone with the link can be a viewer", then copy and paste the link so that you can add the link to the submission page.
